About Open Data Kosovo \ Open Data Kosovo is a civic-tech organization that uses technology to contribute towards good governance, transparency, and accountability. We contribute to the development of a local and vibrant tech scene though youth assignment with new and enabling technologies to problem-solve social issues. Open Data Kosovo has partnered with great local and international organizations such as Amnesty International, US State Department, UNDP, The Engine Room to produce exciting and impacting products.
About the project “Youth-Designed Digital Solutions to Promote Democratic Engagement and Support Evidence Based Policy-Making” \ “Youth-Designed Digital Solutions to Promote Democratic Engagement and Support Evidence Based Policy-Making ” is an EU funded project, implemented by Open Data Kosovo in partnership with Girls Coding Kosova.
The overall objective of the project is to leverage young women’s interest in digital technologies towards designing and implementing digital solutions to local governance and democratisation challenges in a manner that will 1) continuously involve them in dialogues and processes that lead to the implementation of data-driven evidence-based policies and 2) involve young citizens as significant users of the implemented digital solutions. The project strategy is to identify local governance problems in cooperation with target municipalities, assess the level of citizens’ concerns over the identified problems, and determine the feasibility of developing digital solutions to tackle them.
Objective of the ToR \
Objective of this ToR is to hire one (1) consultant to document the process and produce/publish a guideline on prototyping collaborative work with local governments. The duration of the assignment of the consultant is foreseen to be 5 0 working days.
Objective of the assignment \ Objective of this assignment is to establish a tested-out process for collaborative problem-solving between local governments and grassroots communities and mentor young women on how to implement the proposed approach. As mentioned above, the assignment is foreseen to last 50 days, spread over the course of three (3) months starting in July and ending in September 2018.
