BORDER WAIT
Border Wait – National Border Management Center as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in collaboration with Open Data Kosovo and Girls Coding Kosova, launched the social application ‘Border Wait’.
Through the Techstitution project, we launched one of the most innovative social apps, enabling Kosovo citizens to better plan their cross-border trips to save time, avoid traffic delays, and pass the border as quickly as possible. This user-friendly application gathers data from 12 border crossings and generates timely videos to show the status of each border crossing point. It automatically displays data on social media profiles and is designed to help users make decisions on the go. The platform was also made active in the official social networking profiles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These data serve to help increase the efficiency of the National Border Management Center, which is also one of the requirements of the Stabilisation-Association Agreement and the European Reform Agenda for Kosovo.
