TECHSTITUTION

The ‘Techstitution’ project engages youth in democratic processes and learning of new software skills with the aim to contribute to the formation of smart institutions that deliver improved services to Kosovo citizens.

The aim of the project is to impart practical software engineering skills to young citizens through their involvement in the digitization of platforms used by public institutions. The significant outcome of this project is the development of digital solutions by the participants. 11 digital solutions have been developed as part of this project, thus, aiding Kosovo public institutions and NGOs in Kosovo digitize their processes. These digital solutions were ideated by the 517 youngster that took part in the Techstitution workshops where they learned crucial ICT skills.

Currently, the Techstitution project is implementing its 4th Edition, after three previous editions implemented successfully started in 2016.

  • Techstitution 1.0 (2016-2017) – Participants: 100 (67 F, 33 M), 7 employed in public institutions – 2 Digital Solutions
  • Techstitution 2.0 (2017-2018) – Participants: 157 (98 F, 59 M), 8 employed in public institutions – 3 Digital Solutions
  • Techstitution 3.0 (2019-2020) – Participants: 122 (60 F, 62 M), 4 data driven stories published  – 4 Digital Solutions
  • Techstitution 4.0 (2020-2021) – Participants: 138 (56 F, 82 M),  –  2 Digital Solutions
