WALK FREELY

A mobile app created during a series of workshops with young Kosovar women. The app serves two purposes; allow the anonymous report of sexual harassment and analyze the collected data.

Ec Shlirë (Walk Freely) is a mobile app co-developed between Open Data Kosovo and Girls Coding Kosova. The app enables users the ability to report sexual harassment that they have been subjected to and provides them with data analysis tools in order to highlight trends and patterns of harassment. The app is the end-product of a series of workshops with young women from Kosovo who were taught how to programme mobile apps. Available for Android since February 2016, the app has been downloaded more than 1,000 times and has collected nearly 400 reports.
